This project begins with an artistic residency in Berlin. 

As part of the process, I began painting large canvases inside out in an effort to explore the behavior of the fabric while inverted. 

The materials, their qualities, their plastic possibilities, are the starting point of the creative exercise that goes through my practice, the materiality of the work and its latent “vitality.” The organic and apparent simplicity present in the act of using the support in an unconventional way responds to a personal premise as an artist: taking on the challenge of transforming abstract ideas into images.
