I try to explain what I was doing. Writing is not like painting.
However, I find certain similarities between the two. When I select words, I ask myself why I made that selection. Those terms with which I have an affinity have something in common: they always refer to structures, processes, reasoning, rhythms, changes or repetitions. I discover that those words that resonate with my work were already present in the procedure from the beginning and reading the definition of the word is like activating the method for the construction of my work again. What was not formulated during the procedure, then, is clarified and repeated again when this affinity between naming and doing is revealed.
At a crossroads with mathematics, and in its abstract company, I find terms that attract me for their versatility, as a variable: that which changes when I apply a function to it, which gives different results in a process similar to solving an equation. This variable could be a color. Then, according to its intensity, size or position, it will display different visual functions, like a function in mathematics. Through the different color systems and line repetitions, each element looks different due to the context that modifies it. Each work is a function and color is the variable that defines it. If the crossing is with logic, in a syllogism the premises are followed by a conclusion, where its structure determines the arrangement of its elements, in this case: lines, shapes and/or colors. I decide on a color, then the structure or system will determine its location and its repetition.

Confusing edges and wall, image out of phase with its support articulate a passage focusing and blurring certain colors or shapes. Pulses, rhythms, repetitions, curves, obliques, straight lines, opaque and shiny, I find them essential to be able to generate a continuity and an agile relationship with the space and to circulate the gaze: a result that is open and extended towards the place, the architecture in which is registered.
If I propose a route to look at, then this would be similar to the procedure: travel, divert, repeat, relate, group, extend, compare, circulate, wander. The method of looking is similar to the becoming of doing.
