Between the horizon and me lies an endless array of interferences.
My fundamental question is: What is the representation of a territory? And conversely: What is the territory of representation?
I see the world as composed of lines, and I treat abstraction as a space of pure potential. My working tool is a three-centimeter line that I repeat endlessly to construct artificial, transient, and pixelated territories—a potential pattern for another language, and a space to explore writing, time, movement, and memory.
I explore the landscape as a sentient, voracious creature—as an incomplete and precarious entity.
Painting a landscape is like writing a letter. I treat the stroke as a code and as the most embryonic state of being—a realm where we are untouched by roughness.
Painting is an uninhabited landscape where I am always alone, reclaiming the gesture—a gesture that appears and reappears at every moment, like a horizon: unstable, uncertain, and fleeting.
I believe that when a hand is raised holding an artistic tool, it is a hand that has been rising for 45,500 years—a movement so repetitive that one could create dance works inspired solely by this deeply unsettling motion.
