On this occasion, Josefina will present Skin Buffet, situated around a dining table. The work is a meeting, a textile encounter, with special guests; sewn fabrics, small drawings and paintings, each inspired by strange objects, by members of the artist’s family or by the work of other artists.
The exhibition will open on April 13th from 5 to 8 pm (EST) at the Gallery located at 501 West 20th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York and in May 2024, at Praxis Buenos Aires, in its iconic space at Arenales 1311, CABA.
This new Praxis proposal is a unique opportunity to see the fascinating sculptural textiles of Josefina Concha E., who returns to the New York scene after a decade, and after the overwhelming success at Zona Maco, the most important art fair in Mexico. The exhibition will be a preview of the solo show that the artist will hold at Praxis Buenos Aires next year.
Skin Buffet is another example of Praxis’ commitment to promoting Latin culture and supporting Latin artists.
