For the past decade, my work has been intimately related with the study of the botanical world, both through the melancholic scope of its fragile beauty but also enchanted and deeply inspired by its healing properties and power of consciousness. I intend to portray the miraculous beauty of nature as well as the magic it holds within it, creating a dialogue between these two aspects, its fragility and its power. Throughout the exploration of the medicinal properties hidden in both the plant and fungi kingdoms, I became aware of the consciousness and wisdom they treasure; they act like a broken mirror of what we have lost; they are the living reminder of how we have unplugged from the rest of nature, losing our awareness and destroying our planet.
Some of the plants portrayed in these botanical conversations are endangered flowers of unique beauty, and most of them are magical plants and fungi, with powerful healing properties, which might hold the secret answers to stop our self destruction and the ecological collapse. Allured by the capacity of plants and fungi to heal and elevate consciousness, I believe we have to gain a deeper awareness of our relationship with nature. By reaching a more sophisticated understanding of the power of plants, and throughout holistic consciousness, we might regain a balanced relationship with ourselves and with the rest of our planet.
