Nature is conquered by plastic. Seas and mountains of plastic.

Gaspar Libedinsky presents his site-specific installation ‘The Origin of Species’ at Praxis.
If plastic wants to be nature, then let’s let it be. Plastic’s intrinsic desire for a higher life.
There are 3 guaranteed lives: first in soda bottle mode, then recycled into synthetic bristles grouped in packs to be inserted into household toilet brushes. Finally these packs are reorganized as vegetation.
From ‘marginal’ element to object of desire.
The Anthropocene Era in which human actions modify the natural environment.
A biodiversity composed of new designed vegetation species.
A coral reef invites you to an immersive experience made of 100% PET.
This underwater landscape will take over the Praxis Glass Space.
On the sidewalk, on Arenales Street, various species of this new vegetation will emerge between the tiles.
Artifice evolves to shape a future Nature.
