Lulu Gueron | Niñas malas

The moods are cut out of fine wood and thus assembled, they express what they feel, what makes them desperate. What is it that alters them? Girls change their mood, as the light changes during the day, as the flavor changes in fruit, as well as the emotion changes when frustration is not tolerated. These sculptures belong to the “Bad Girls” series started in 2010, today they come out of paper and take on three dimensions. Bad Girls are characterized by that good/bad duality that inhabits them. These noseless girls, adorable and scary at the same time, are complicit in our evils, fears, frustrations and they show it to us with great tenderness. Combining my two worlds: illustration and architecture, uniting in an object, a synthesis of the emotional world and the concrete.
